Default weight loss in pregnancy.?

I'm 4 1/2 months pregnant. First kid. I've lost 12 lbs. My mom says she barely gained any weight at all too. Anyone else?
So alot have suggested that its just morning sickness. I don't get sick anymore. Lol.
My ob gave me a prescription for nausea, which I don't have. Its called compazine. I did some research and there are too many side effects so I'm not willing to take it.

When i was pregnant I lost 11 lbs. before I actually started gaining weight in the 5th month, my Dr. said it was totally normal. After that I gradually gained it back plus 15 lbs.

A lot of women get this. If you're not being sick any more it's more likely because all your nutrients are going to the baby instead of you.

Talk to your midwife, she'll probs be able to give you some tips on how to stay healthy!

Good luck! )

Weight loss is fine as long as you're still eating healty like salad and stuff.. if you filling up on candy bars and food in high in fat and your still losing weight then you might want to talk to you're doctor about it

I lost 20 pounds before i was 7 months. I couldnt keep anything down but wanton soup, and I had days where I could keep down a meal or even most of it. My doctor said it was fine as long as I was eatting
(despite my puking and that i eat healthy) and taking my vitamins. Plus my uterus was average size so we knew things were fine. My daughter is two now and as health as any other kid.

Some women have really bad nausea and vomiting in their first trimester or so of pregnancy that they end up losing a little bit of weight. It's normal but you should try not to lose to much and should start gaining around the beginning or middle of your second trimester when morning sickness seems to go away. You might want to talk to your doctor about this if you keep losing weight.

I didn't lose any weight, but I never gained any until after 5 months, and even then it was only 20lbs that was completely gone less than a week. Not that I'm skinny, by no means, but I could hardly eat and the baby took lots of nourishment from my body. Not to mention she was huge when born! But yea, if it hadn't been for me being fat, I might have gained weight, but as I see it, I was actually losing weight. Lol.
